The ELISA Aerospace engineering school in Saint-Quentin awards two diplomas. There is a 5-year engineering diploma and a 3-year bachelor’s degree, designed for students with a passion for aerospace and the transportation of the future. To design, manufacture and maintain an airplane, helicopter, satellite, missile, airship, launcher or any other transport vehicle, you need a sound knowledge of scientific and technical fields. This requires the acquisition of basic sciences, in particular mathematics and physics. ELISA Aerospace in the Hauts-de-France region offers high-level, multi-disciplinary training to ensure that engineering students are ready for action as soon as they leave the school. Courses are taught by a team of professionals and experts in the industry of the future and research. Students are placed in work situations identical to those encountered in the workplace, to facilitate their integration into the professional world.
ELISA Aerospace offers the Ingénieur – Sciences Aérospatiales curriculum, a 5-year course recognized by the Commission des titres d’ingénieurs and conferring the grade of Master. The program offered by this school for aeronautical and aerospace engineers in Saint-Quentin takes the form of an integrated preparatory cycle for the first two years. This cycle retains the same spirit of hard work and rigor as the MPSI and PSI programs in mathematics and physics. It covers the structure of matter, geometric and wave optics, and electromagnetism. These two years also focus on aeronautics and space, as well as engineering sciences such as programming, applied thermodynamics, industrial drawing and CAD, and an introduction to astronautics. Students then enter the engineering cycle for the last three years, and have a choice of three options to complement the core curriculum: Aeronautical Systems Engineering (ISA), Missile and Space Systems Engineering (IM2S) and Cooperative Embedded Systems Engineering (ISEC). The engineering program is based on the acquisition of scientific and technological skills to learn how to design, implement and maintain aeronautical and space systems. During this cycle, engineering students will be trained in aerodynamic mechanics, electronics, automatic propulsion, IT and operational safety.
The ELISA Aerospace Saint-Quentin school for engineers with a passion for aeronautics and aerospace also offers the 3-year Bachelor of Science and Engineering – Transport Industry. The Engineering Assistant course enables students to be directly operational in a company as soon as they have obtained their Bachelor’s degree. This enables them to move into middle management positions and assume their responsibilities. During the course, students benefit from multi-disciplinary academic teaching and work experience, and prepare themselves for the economic and societal challenges they will face throughout their careers. Future engineering assistants can work in design offices, carry out in-company projects and internships, and take part in on-the-job training modules. The final year of the Bachelor of Science and Engineering program is a work-study contract. Under a partnership with the Union des Industries et Métiers de la Métallurgie (UIMM), the Bachelor of Science and Engineering – Transport Industries has been awarded an additional degree by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs (CTI). Students must present the CQPM (certificat de Qualification paritaire de la métallurgie) – Chargée de projet industriel certification if they wish to broaden their skills, in addition to the bachelor’s degree.
